PastaLeads Adware Removal

The PastaLeads are obviously an adware program which generally comes on bundled together with no-fee programs you can download. The adware program, PastaLeads, has the capability to bring leads for companies under several search phrases. To make this clear, if someone is searching for medical insurance, the system will display a sign-in form to enter the your information. This is where the program will send this lead to the sales companies of medical insurances and will then contact you.

Once this adware got installed, PastaLeads can make a Window-service that continuously process in the background and also set up your web browser to be able to use a proxy server. This type of adware is not easily removed nor uninstalled, due to the proxy settings are not removed that can make your browser unable to reach any websites.

Understanding that PastaLeads is not really a computer infection, but rather packed together with no-fee software downloaded online. So, before you installed any freeware, you need to pay attention to the license agreements at the same time the installation process. If ever the installation has an option to Custom or Advanced installation, it is better to choose this option so you can disclose the 3rd party software, twill permit you to opt-out them. In addition, if during the installation, there will be toolbar or any adware, it is recommended to cancel the installation and don’t use such free software.

 

Removal Instructions for PastaLeads

1. Login as user of the infected PastaLeads. As soon as the Windows displays, click the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
2. Once you’re on the Control Panel, click twice on the option that depend on the version of Windows:

  • For Windows Vista and 7, click twice the Uninstall Program option.
  • For the Windows XP, click twice the Add or Remove Programs icon.

3. While the Add or Remove Programs or the Uninstall Program screen is appeared, scroll on the list of programs/software(unwanted programs), click twice on every entry listed to uninstall them.
4. When you’re done uninstall the unwanted programs/softwares. Reboot your computer to see if the uninstall process takes place.

You may also need to re-set your web browser. Most people will not need to do this.  Be sure to run a full virus scan after the process is done just to ensure you have no left over traces of any kind.
