How to Upgrade Your Motherboard

This tutorial will take you through the steps involved in installing a new motherboard – covering each of the following:

  • installing a CPU and heat sink on the motherboard
  • installing memory in the motherboard
  • fitting the motherboard
  • making the connections between PSU and motherboard
  • making the connections between system case and motherboard
  • making the connections between drive controllers and motherboard

  • ensuring the integrity of Windows after the upgrade.
