Samsung SCX-4729FD Laser Printer

The Samsung SCX-4729FD is a mono laser printer that is networkable. It prints 2-sided and can copy, scan and fax. This is an all in one printer. You can print up to 29 pages per minute with a 1200 x 1200 dpi.

This is just a black and white printer. No color. A 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder makes duplex copying/printing an easy task. The paper feeder holds 250 pages so larger print jobs is not a problem.

The scanning feature when using the software allows you to scan documents into .pdf files. This can be great for all those that have large amounts of old paper documents they need but don’t want to store them. Clean up your office paper by scanning them all into .pdf’s.

Downside with this is it’s not wireless. You have to use the ethernet port to connect it to a router so other computer can print to it. That or use the USB port to connect it to a computer and share the printer on that computer. Would be nice to place this is a corner and wirelessly connect it.

In a nut shell you can do a lot with out having to take up much office space. This is the perfect printer for those who have large amounts of black and white printing to do. The low price point of $249.99 make the Samsung SCX-4729FD mono laser printer a good buy. We did find it on tigerdirect here for only $199.99. The sale may not last so if it’s out of stock or the price is higher we can’t help you.

Like many other laser printers this device is very straight forward. If you have ever used a printer before you should be able to easily figure this one out.

Overall this product has a high 4.8 rating on tigerdirect out of 5 and decent 3.8/5 rating on Amazon.
