Some of the Best Features of Google Assistant

It is very impressive to see how quickly Google Assistant learns new to help us with daily tasks. Many of them are automated and allow us to have a greater time that in many occasions becomes indispensable.

Sometimes, we may like the voice assistants are away or that they sound like robots. We don’t want to listen to them like we are talking to someone speaking a language we do not know.

Currently, given the imprint of artificial intelligence and diversity that makes up the Google personal assistant, some voice commands can be said in different ways and it will still understand them the same.

For example; We can ask the Google voice assistant “When do I have the next appointment for the gynecologist?” or “Tell me the next appointment I have for the gynecologist”.

In either of the two phrases or any close variants of them, the Google assistant will understand you and give you the result you are looking for.

We would not be able to cover all of the functions or Apps available to the Google assistant in this post, because it is rare that a week goes by that new applications do not appear.

In this article, we will discuss those tasks that we consider most novel or that will allow us to have more free time. This means that if you use them you will have a better quality of life.

But don’t worry, because as new important updates appear, we will add them, so you will always be up to date.

Some features that we discuss below that are not yet available for Google Assistant Speakers in certain countries. They will be added as soon as Google is able to, because the company will not want to lose any share of this new market.

The Best Features of the Google Assistant

Given the large number of features available, you will want to at least know some of the most useful voice commands.  Here is the list of the best functions we highlight;

1.- The Google assistant has the App Routines.  This function allows you to activate different preset functions in Google Assistant and activate others in a more personalized way in your settings.

If we choose to use “routines” and tell Google’s personal assistant “Bedtime”, the alarm clock will automatically be activated and the voice command “I’m at Home” will review through the smart speaker. The messages or emails will be listed as “pending” for you to read.

At this time, it is only available in the English version, so if it is not shown in your Google Asistant app on your mobile while you use a different language, then you will have to wait for it to be introduced.

2.- A new recent feature that was just incorporated into Google Assistant is the “Family Link”. This new App allows us to control the accounts of our children under the age of 13 just by saying “Hey Google, block Paula’s mobile phone”.

You may wonder if Paula could block your phone. However, she could not do this at first because the Google assistant is able to distinguish up to six different voices, so if it detects that the order is made by someone that doesn’t have the right permissions, Google will not block any phone.

A very useful option if we have the Google Home max and we do not want our children can increase the volume.

To configure the voices, just enter the App and go to the devices section, when you see the icon with three dots press them and enter the Google Home section where you must choose the Configuration option.

In this section, you will find the Settings section of the Google wizard where you will have to enter the Voice Match option. Click on the option to invite others who use your devices and you will see different options to complete the process by assigning each voice to a specific person.
