Registry Mechanic Review

Registry Mechanic is considered as one of the most renowned registry utilities that are currently available in the market. Once you install it in your system and launch it, a decent looking interface will appear on the screen with large buttons that are labeled clearly.

While running Registry Mechanic, you will have three options to choose from: Compact the Registry, Scan the Registry and optimize you System. The recommendation is to go for the “scan your registry” first to see what the scanner reveals.

The scanning usually doesn’t take too long and you will be able to see the results in real time. Once the scanning is complete, you will be able to learn about the importance of each and every finding by looking at the color bars that are used to tag them. Here you will have the liberty to determine whether you want to remove all the results or keep some aside.

Registry Mechanic comes up with a backup option that you can use to undo the removal of one or more entries if necessary. The program will also allow you to undo the changes in case you face any difficulty after running the program. In addition to the backup option of this tool, you are advised to create you very own backup versions of the registry as well as a new restore point (for those who are using XP and Vista).

The Registry Compactor is considered as one of its most attractive features of this program which will allow you to reconfigure the location of the files in the best possible way once you are done scanning the registry.

However, one thing that you might need to take under consideration is that Registry Mechanic may not be the best choice for a PC novice. Time to time a user may find it a bit difficult to have clear understanding about different features of the program as the help menu may not be all that informative regarding certain features. But in general, advanced or intermediate level computer users are expected to find it as a useful tool that can help them out with what they are looking for.
