I have a Sony pcg-fx701 laptop and i have pressed something that has now messed up my keyboard.
to get the letters uiopjklm i now have to press the blue Fn key situated next to the ctrl button on the bottom right of the keyboard. can anyone assist me with correcting this?

Hi. Sounds like you've enabled some sort of function lock - I can't download the manuals from the Sony site (Sony pcg-fx701 manuals) but you should check your keyboard for something like FN LOCK and toggle it off.

Yeah it seems you have enabled some sort of fn lock and that could only be disabled with the help of laptop manuals / expert. Just check it out yourself or you can take help from some expert laptop repair technician.
